As a multi-jurisdictional practitioner, Ismail Amin, has a wide array of experience serving clients in many practice areas. In particular, Mr. Amin focuses his practice in the fields of Business Planning & Litigation, Appellate Practice, Real Estate Transactions, Intellectual Property, Tax & Estate Planning and Immigration.
Mr. Amin´s legal experience encompasses serving larger Fortune Five Hundred companies, mid-sized privately held companies and sole proprietorships. Mr. Amin presently serves as company counsel to small to mid-sized businesses throughout California and Nevada.
As a licensed real estate broker, Mr. Amin brings unique experience to any real estate deal. He understands the needs and objectives of businesses and entrepreneurs. Mr. Amin has counseled developers, contractors and financiers throughout many acquisitions and financings of real estate. In particular, he has extensive experience in commercial and residential property acquisitions, defeasance financing transactions, IRC 1031 exchanges, subdivisions, construction and real estate litigation mattes. He has represented lenders, mortgage brokers, real estate investment trusts, landlords and tenants in all aspects of the deal.
Mr. Amin regularly counsels clients in business planning (including entity formation and selection), mergers & acquisitions, securities and tax planning. Utilizing an aggressive approach to due diligence, Mr. Amin strives to leave no stone unturned.
Furthermore, Mr. Amin regularly counsels clients in various Intellectual Property issues. In particular, he has guided his clientele through the federal trademark registration process, including all aspects of Madrid Protocol Filings. He also regularly prepares intellectual property licensing agreements for high profile clientele.
In 2000, Mr. Amin graduated from the University of California, Irvine, earning a double major bachelor of arts in the disciplines of Political Science and International Relations. Thereafter, in 2003, Mr. Amin earned a Juris Doctorate from Pepperdine University, School of Law wherein he received the American Jurisprudence Award for Real Estate Finance. During his tenure at Pepperdine, Mr. Amin served as Executive Chair within the Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology Law (CETL).
Mr. Amin is admitted to practice law in California and Nevada. Presently, he is a member of the State Bar of California and the State Bar of Nevada, respectively. Likewise, Mr. Amin is a member of the Orange County Bar Association and the Clark County Bar Association. Finally, Mr. Amin is a licensed by the California Department of Real Estate, as a real estate broker.
During law school, Ismail served as a judicial extern to the honorable Arthur M. Greenwald in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California.
